Everything casts a shadow...
Desperate for cash, Gabrielle Werth returns to the abandoned farmhouse of her youth to reclaim a potentially valuable family heirloom.
After part of the structure collapses, Gabby is left pinned and nearly immobilized on an unstable, altar-like slab of broken wall.
She soon learns there is more to fear than her injuries and the dark memories of what happened here years ago while she was under her grandparents' care.
A creature Gabby called Crouch during the summers of her childhood—a creature she spent twenty years convincing herself wasn't real—is back. And he has been busy in her absence.
Crouch needs Gabby alive long enough to complete a sinister plan he's had in motion for decades.
Escape is what both of them are after. The question is which one will succeed.

"Love his gritty yet realistic writing style." - Morgan L Bernard, reviewer for Mage Menagerie
“At times claustrophobic as a coffin and at others soaring high as a kite, Dean Wild’s vivid, visceral horror novel Destiny Moan traps the reader in a collapsing farmhouse with his heroine and weaves an irresistible atmosphere of creeping terror, sharp suspense, and spellbinding, wide-eyed wonder.” – Christopher Micklos, author of Tick Town
