Nikki Noir self-published Watchers of the Black Rite in 2019.  Since the release, she penned the prequel, Corpsepaint & Rabbithole and sequels. In continuing the series, she changed a major facet of Watchers so that it would not appear until much later in the timeline. Consequently, all print books were pulled and the ebook was updated.
