When the ending of the series revealed itself to me, I realized it was far bigger than I had first imagined. Dawn of the Serpent Girl came in at nearly 100,000 words (compared to the 60,000-word prequels), and there’s another 100,000 still to come—which will appear in a fourth book. Rather than make you wait to resolve the cliffhanger from Book 2, I chose to release Book 3 while Book 4 is still in progress.
